What Is Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose?

Luckily, when scientists and researchers refer to hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, they use the abbreviation HPMC. HPMC consists of modified cellulose dietary fibers. Cellulose is made up of natural, insoluble plant fibers that act as a dietary fiber and can produce viscous substances within your gastrointestinal tract.1
